Final Video

Blogger is being very uncooperative with uploading my video or connecting it to youtube, so here is a link to my final video:

I feel like some of the timing that seems correct when I am in imovie, turns out to be a little off when I export it. I've spent SO much time trying to get all my transitions to work that I'm just exhausted with it. I'm happy with the way it turned out though.

Enjoy!

  1. Nice job April. I think you captured what you were talking about at the face to face. Its funny to hear how many students thought that yearbook was going to be easy. Its cool to hear about what the students enjoyed, and I think you did a great job with the music.

  2. Regarding your iMovie comments - Thank you! - I had that problem too! When watching my vid on youtube, I was not happy w/the comparison, and wondered if timing was off in addition to the loss of focus.

Fabulous job on this video! I love it - Perfect movie choice, especially starting w/Forever Young in that version. The kids are adorable, and it was great that you didn't take out comments that might scare off some - it shows some of the struggle and challenge in just the right way. As a former YB editor (from the Old School), it is good to see the students recognizing that they are gaining job and college skills and work ethic.

BTW, I don't know if there is still a summer journalism (for HS YB and news) conference at Stanford U, but you might look into getting scholarships for continuing students to go.

  3. April,

The video is great! Did you finish it in time to use if at your school to recruit?

You did a nice job with the editing. I thought the captions at the bottom were useful and I loved the graphics.

Your students made me laugh. One liked being on the staff so he could get into dances free and only have to pay for the girl. That was priceless.
